Faith and the ark

I feel like Noah building an ark for rain that hasn't yet come and no one expects will. When God gives you a promise and tells you He's given it to you alone because you have the faith to receive it, you find yourself in a very lonely place. And when the sun starts beating down, and it seems that the exact opposite of what He's promised is about to happen, you start to question if you'd heard the voice of God at all.

That's when you have to run through all the promises in your mind - one by one - and remind yourself that God's promises are yea and amen. He keeps His promises. Otherwise, He's a liar and God can't lie.

And you go through scriptures like "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things unseen," and "Walk by faith, not by sight." So, maybe God is trying to tell me to have faith, keep believing. The promises are still coming. Keep building the ark. The rain is on its way.
